Following the claim made by a senior Turkish official on Iran’s support of Turkish military action in northern Iraq against PKK terrorist group, he rejected the allegations and said, “while supporting no anti-terrorist move, Islamic Republic of Iran considers any military struggle in the borders of a third country under the pretext of fighting against terrorism without the permission of the legal government of that country as ‘unlawful and illegitimate’.
Islamic Republic of Iran has been one of the victims of terrorism over the past four decades but will never support moves that violate sovereignty of a country to face terrorist groups.
